WATER SPORTS
Carolinas Health Care Water Skiing Program
Space is limited. Please understand you may not be able to ski every week. Ski times are assigned
in 15 minute increments ahead of time. We will do our best to accommodate as many skiers as we
can. In order to assist us in this process please fill out the registration form indicating your available
dates and preferred time, however this does not guarantee you will be able to ski on those dates.
While we will do our best to adhere to your preferences, please check the skier list each week for
your name and time. If you are unable to make the date and times please contact us so we can fill
the slot with someone on the waiting list.
Reminders:
—Safety is a number one priority. To ensure participant safety there are a few things you can do.
Please do not come down to the dock until a staff member has informed you we are ready. When
ever on the dock or boat all persons must be wearing a life jacket. This is non-negotiable. Life
jackets will be available at the top of the dock.
—We are asking a nominal fee of $25 for the summer to help cover costs of the water ski program.
—Please remember to bring your necessary items: bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen.
Directions to Lake Norman YMCA:
· Take I 77 North to Exit 28 (Cornelius)
· Turn right off the exit ramp towards town (East on Catawba Ave)
· Go straight through 3 lights until the road dead ends on Main St. (2 miles)
· Turn left on Main Street and go .8 miles to Davidson Street
· Go left on Davidson Street you will see a small Lake Norman YMCA sign
· Follow the road to the YMCA parking lot
· Follow the sidewalk to the back of the building and to the dock
