Board of Directors and Support Members
Bridge II Sports Board of Directors
Pam Dickens, from NC Disabilities and Health from UNC, will be a great asset to
the team as she has served many years as an advocate to the disabled community
and knows first hand the challenges of living with a disability.  She is a seasoned
grantwriter and will head up the Grant writing team.  

Ken Wease will join our team as our finance chair.  His 30 years as a CPA in the
private and government sector will be an added bonus to the team.  Ken has been
actively involved in the Muscular Dystrophy sector.

Mary Swanson is the first person to see the vision and join as the Secretary.  Mary's
20 years of experience in founding and participating in the Triangle Senior Games is
a great asset to our journey.

Jerome Brown has been a faithful volunteer in all of our activities.  His 20 years of
experience in  marketing and community service give him the skills to be a part of
our Fundraising Team.  

Stephanie Adams, a Vice President at RBC Centura, will use her experience and
contacts as another member of the Fundraising Team.

William Booth, a long time family friend and military man, has joined to be the
liason to our local VA hospital.  His connections will well serve our goals.

Nancy Payne will join us as one of the Programming team.  Nancy oversees the
Amputee Clinic and Support group at Duke Hospital.  She sees firsthand the need
for adaptive opportunities.

Ashley Thomas is the vision and motor behind the team.

Troutman Sanders LLP, an international law firm with an office in Raleigh, has
agreed to give us legal support.  Albert Hwang is the lawyer who has kindly
agreed to be a part of the team.

Support to the Board

Cheyanne Ritz is currently working on her Masters in Journalism.  She has agreed
to manage our web site and produce articles for publication.

Tamekia Brandon is currently at NC Central Law School after having worked in an
administrative capacity at Duke Health and Fitness for years.  Tamekia has agreed
to help with the bookkeeping, researching and maintaining the database for our
political representatives and our local publication network.

Advisory Board

Mark Ezzell has been actively involved in the adaptive world in NC.   Mark is
currently the Director of the North Carolina 100% Tobacco-Free Schools (TFS)
Program.

Jeff Howser  is in his seventh season as Duke University’s speed and conditioning
coach.  A former ACC Champion and All-America athlete, Coach Howser was a U.
S. Olympic Trials hurdles finalist in 1968 and 1972 and was named as one of the
ACC’s top 50 track athletes of all-time in 2003.   He went on to earn a bronze medal
at the 1969 World Championships in the 110-meter high hurdles and was an
alternate on the 1968 U.S. Olympic Team.  Howser was a four-time U.S. Olympic
Trials qualifier and two-time U.S. Olympic Trials finalist.

John Shuman is head coach of Fork Union Academy’s PG Football Program, Coach
Shuman  has had more than 50 players go on to play in the NFL and other
professional leagues. He has more experience coaching and developing elite student
athletes than most other coaches today.  Coach Shuman sends two or three dozen
players into the top college football programs each year.
