Golf

Device allowing person to be upright to swing

Golf is an easily adapted sport for people with disabilities. Our goal is to find a way for people to play, even if that means swinging one handed or in a different position. We have adapted golf clubs so that people sitting down are able to play. Golf is a great sport for people with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, or who are an amputee. At our last golf day in August 2011, we had a cart that allowed people without the use of their legs to stand up to swing. Eventually, our hope is to have a cart like this available for all of our golf days! See you on the golf course! View this flyer for 2012 information.
