What is your favorite thing to do and why?

I really like to do stuff with computers like Powerpoint and making and editing movies. I like doing that because   I know I have the ability to serve others using my technical skills to bring others the Word of God. Every Sunday morning at my church, I am always ready and willing to help draw people closer to God and most of the time help lead others to Christ who may have never heard of the gospel.

What is your favorite sport to play and why?

I love to play wheelchair basketball because it is just another way of getting exercise and to stay healthy.  I also love to play basketball because it really gives me the opportunity to meet others in wheelchairs and go places that I have never gone before.

How long have you played adapted sports?

I had not really played adapted sports at all until August of 2010. I had only played on teams where I was the only kid who was in a wheelchair.

How has playing adaptive sports changed you?

It has given me new opportunities to try different sports in a wheelchair and decide whether I like a certain sport or not and it has given me more strength in parts of my upper body that I really have never used or even thought about using before.

What does it mean to you to be able to play sports?

It really means a lot to be able to play sports because I did not want to be one of those kids that sat on the sidelines hoping that I could do what my friends are doing. I really enjoy being able to be a part of such a great team that involves other kids and teenagers just like me.

Who is your hero and why?

I don’t just have one hero, I have many heros that I look up to and admire and they make up a team called The Fayetteville Flyers. I really enjoy getting the chance to practice with them and get to know them individually. They really are an encouragement to me because they have shown me how to be patient and not get frustrated during practices and especially games if I shoot the ball and miss it.

What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for having a life that was created by God for a purpose and I am grateful that I have the chance to do something with my life for His glory. I am also thankful for an awesome team that I get to practice and play with at tournaments all over the country.
