From their campus to ours, we have been grateful to have a steady crew of college students from both UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University coming to volunteer at Bridge II Sports this fall.
Just this past Saturday, the UNC Physical Therapy Philanthropic Group brightened up a very gloomy morning workday with their muscle and great attitudes. These hard working students helped beautify the BIIS campus with fresh mulch AND took on the enormous task of de-decaling one of our trailers!

During our usual Saturday programming, students from UNC’s Best Foot Forward and Duke Medical School have been helping run smooth archery and air rifle sessions maintaining our ‘Playing It Safe’ COVID policies so our BIIS athletes have the best experience possible.

All students have had the chance to try out adapted sports as well.
It has been a wonderful opportunity to share the power of adapted sports with this next generation of heathcare professionals and ‘world changers’.  Opening eyes to what the end goal should be for people with disabilties– barrier-free opportunities to be active, engaged, healthy and having fun in a supportive community.

Such a great group of young folks who are making a difference.
We LOVE our volunteers!
