Army Veteran and Valor Games Southeast Athlete Gordon Jeans flipped the script at his family’s big day by honoring Bridge II Sports with a $5,000 donation.
The Jeans family was chosen by Rebuilding Home in partnership with Lennar Homes and Rebuilding Together of the Triangle for a well-deserved remodel updating their home in both size, functionality and wheelchair accessibility. The 4 and a half month project included an ADA master suite, roof, structural repairs, siding replacement, window replacement, new electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, kitchen cabinets, countertops, flooring, and more.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony honoring his family on February 21st, Mr. Jeans presented Ashley Thomas, Founder and CEO of Bridge II Sports, with a check on behalf of Rebuilding Homes. The Jeans Family had recommended that additional funds that had been collected during the process be given to Bridge II Sports. The mission of Bridge II Sports is close to Mr. Jeans heart as a long time participant in the BIIS Air Rifle program, a Valor Games Southeast athlete and a strong advocate for Veterans with disabilities.
Thank you to the Jeans Family, Rebuilding Homes, Lennar Homes and Rebuilding Together of the Triangle for their generosity! We look forward to continuing to provide life-impacting programs for people with physical disabilties in our community.
