On November 27th in celebration of #GivingTuesday Bridge II Sports was awarded a $10,000 charitable gift from GSK.

During the month of November GSK employees across the country had the opportunity to nominate and vote for local non-profits in their area.  Bridge II Sports was one of only 20 organizations nationally to be recognized by GSK employees for this meaningful gift.

We are honored by the support and committment of GSK employees to see the power of adapted sports.  This was an incredible suprise coming on the heels of receiving a 2018 GSK Impact Award

Beyond the generous financial support of these awards, Bridge II Sports has been overwhelmed by the dedication of GSK RTP leadership and employees in creating a culture of disability awareness and understanding on their campus and beyond.

-GSK hosts an annual Disability Confidence and Inclusion Day giving all employees the opportunity to experience wheelchair basketball and tandem cycling as well as hear first-hand from Bridge II Sports athletes about the impact sports has had in their lives.

-2 teams of GSK employees enthusiastically take to the court every year to compete in Bridge II Sports August Madness Wheelchair Basketball Tournament fundraiser.

-Several GSK volunteers have grown our tandem cycling program serving as ‘pilot riders’ for athletes with visually impairments.  This past season they’ve provided over 350 hours of volunteer time on the trail.
