Former Harlem Globetrotter Johnny ‘Hawk’ Thomas is joining the All-Star line-up for August Madness 2019!
Mr. Thomas played college ball at NC State where he earned a bachelors degree in 2 and a half years and finished his collegiate career at Marshall where he earned his masters.
He went on to a stint in the D-League and then 5 years travelling with the Harlem Globetrotters. Known for his dunks and incredible shots (check out this video!), ‘Hawk’ wowed crowds around the world.
Mr. Thomas is the founder of Rising Pros Training in Siler City, North Carolina. He shares his lifelong passion for basketball to help youth develop in mind, body and skill to reach their potential.
“Rising Pros Training gives me the opportunity to work with kids to improve their skill level but also their confidence level. My goal is to teach kids the value of hardwork and how you have to continue to push past obstacles.”
We are thrilled to have ‘Hawk’ dedicating his time and energy to Bridge II Sports as part of our annual fundraiser. Can’t wait to see what he can do playing wheelchair basketball!
