4 Years Strong – Annual William Christy Wheelchair Basketball Game

August 23rd marked the Fourth Annual William Christy Wheelchair Basketball Game with Bridge II Sports at William Peace University!

Congrats to William- a long time Bridge II Sports athlete and supporter on creating and maintaining this ‘start of school’ tradition at his alma mater.

Four years ago William decided he wanted to share his passion for wheelchair basketball with students at his university and help them understand adapted sports.  He organized an event with the school and Bridge II Sports to get students on the court for first hand experience.

Despite graduating from Peace and since pursuing and earning his Masters at NC State, William continues to come back to campus every year to continue the legacy and open minds to the power of adapted sports.

There was a large crowd on hand this year to play and cheer with many enthusiastic students eager to get involved with Bridge II Sports.

Big thanks to Coach Mike Rosenkrantz and Akeem Hassell for helping facilitate this experience.
