Below is some information to to assist in preparing for your Valor Games SE experience.
All VGSE volunteers are required to take part in Traumatic Brain Injury/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Training. Our goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment for our athletes and all involved with VGSE through greater understanding of some of the issues our Veterans and Military face. Important volunteering logistics and information will also be covered.
When you signed up to volunteer you should have choosen your training date and location:
Tuesday May 15th (Training sponsored by USAA)

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear to VGSE?
Make sure to wear your official volunteer shirt. Your volunteer shirt helps us easily identify your role with VGSE. If you do not have your shirt you cannot volunteer.
We would suggest pants or appropriate shorts and comforable shoes.
“I don’t remember what shift I signed up for”
Please check your Sign-up Genius account to find your shift.
What do I do the day of my volunteer shift?
When you arrive at the venue in your VGSE Volunteer Shirt 🙂 – you’ll check in at the registration table and receive a name tag and your specific role.
We do ask for your flexiblity in assisting in any and all ways needed to make Valor Games SE a success.
What will my specific job be at VGSE?
We will do our best to accomodate the volunteer preference you listed on your sign-up. But we also ask for your flexibilty and understanding that we may need your help in a different area or with many different tasks.
If an athlete needs assistance or has a question – what do I do?
Alert your sporthead, a Bridge II Sports staff member or a lead volunteer.
Can my child join me in volunteering at VGSE?
No one under the age of 18 is permitted to be on the ‘competition floor’ with the athletes. Children and young adults are encouraged to come and cheer in the stands at UNC and Duke.
