Set up a sturdy chair behind the free throw line. Any court will do- even in your driveway.
(The free throw line is 15 feet from the hoop. The hoop is 10 feet high.)
Enlist at least two assistants – one to feed you your rebounds, the other to video your challenges and keep time.
Sit down and practice your shot- you have to stay in the seat and you can’t use your legs.
Once you are warmed up and in your groove,
it’s time for the VIRTUAL MADNESS FREE-THROW CHALLENGE!
How many can you make in 30 seconds?
Make sure your assistants are ready.
Hit RECORD…give an intro:
“Hi, I’m _______. I am excited to experience another way to play basketball, wheelchair basketball while having fun in support of Bridge II Sports!
Here goes my 30 second shoot out!”
…set a 30 second timer…and SHOOT!
Finish with this:
“You can help too, go to bridge2sports.org/virtualmadness and make a donation! Make sure to include your favorite player’s name—ME! Its easy! We are building the Bridge to life with disability.”
If you win your first virtual head-to-head match up, we’ll contact you to make a second video to be used for the next round, and so on.
You’ll need a different unique video for each round of the tournament.
If you are competing with a corporate/company team a different player can shoot each video if/when you move on in the bracket.
