Our partners at Hurricanes Sled Hockey have been leading the charge for sled hockey in the Triangle for almost 10 years. They have some great offerings and share Bridge II Sports’ desire that adaptive sports unites families and communities to play together and learn from one another.
According to HSH’s website:
Hurricanes Sled Hockey was created with the purpose of serving our community and enriching the lives of physically disabled individuals (and their families) of all ages and backgrounds, by providing them the opportunity to play adaptive ice hockey. We believe that hockey is for EVERYONE, so our focus is to break down the barriers, blur the lines, and make hockey accessible to ALL who want to play.
HSH practices are held most Saturdays at Polar Ice Raleigh from October to June. If you would like to be involved, reach out to their team at hurricanessledhockey@gmail.com or over social media! In order to ensure they have the proper equipment ready for you to hit the ice on day one, please reach out a couple of days in advance of your first practice so that they can prepare for you!
We hope to see you there!
