A Fantastic Day on the Courts
This past Saturday, Bridge II Sports had the joy of joining the Western Wake Tennis Association (WWTA) at their Polar Doubles Up/Down Tournament at Cary Tennis Park, and the atmosphere on the courts was fantastic from start to finish.
Celebrating Inclusive Play
The Up/Down format—pairing one wheelchair tennis athlete with one able‑bodied athlete—showcased exactly what adaptive sports are meant to be: inclusive, competitive, and community‑driven. Participants encouraged each other point after point, and it was inspiring to watch athletes of all abilities learning from one another through teamwork and shared strategy.
We were thrilled to meet so many WWTA athletes, coaches, families, and volunteers. Their passion for growing adaptive tennis in our region aligns beautifully with the mission of Bridge II Sports. We’re excited about building a stronger connection with WWTA and supporting more opportunities like this in the future.

Closing Thoughts
We’re grateful to WWTA for hosting such a welcoming, well‑organized event and for continuing to champion adaptive tennis in our community. Bridge II Sports looks forward to supporting future tournaments and clinics and to helping even more athletes discover the joy and empowerment of sport.
