Valor Games Southeast 2026

An Important Update on Valor Games Southeast

At Bridge II Sports, our mission has always been to create opportunities for veterans to connect, compete, and thrive through adaptive sports. Today, we're sharing an important update about the future of Valor Games Southeast.

A Pause, Not an Ending

After thoughtful consideration, Bridge II Sports and our Board of Directors have made the difficult decision to pause the traditional Valor Games Southeast event for 2026. This decision follows a significant change in funding—the Department of Veterans Affairs, which has historically provided major financial support for the event, is no longer able to fund Valor Games Southeast.

Without that support, we cannot responsibly deliver the full, multi-day event at the level of quality and impact our athletes, volunteers, and community partners have come to expect and deserve.

We know this news may be disappointing to many in our community, and we share that disappointment. Valor Games Southeast has been a cornerstone program, bringing together hundreds of veterans, volunteers, and supporters each year for competition, camaraderie, and celebration.

Looking Ahead: A New Vision

While we're pausing the traditional event, our commitment to serving veterans through sport remains as strong as ever. We are actively exploring an exciting new direction: Valor Games Southeast: On the Move.

This mobile initiative would bring adaptive sports equipment, competition, and community directly to military bases across North Carolina. Rather than asking veterans to come to us, we would meet them where they are—creating accessible opportunities for more veterans to experience the power of adaptive sports.

We believe this approach has the potential to expand our reach and deepen our impact in new and meaningful ways.

Thank You

To the athletes who have competed, the volunteers who have served, the community partners who have supported us, and everyone who has been part of the Valor Games Southeast family—thank you. Your dedication, resilience, and spirit are what make this work possible.

We will continue to share updates as our plans develop. This is not the end of our story—it's the beginning of a new chapter.
