Adaptive Archery

What is adaptive archery?

The goal is simple: send your arrows as close to the center of the target as possible.

Getting there takes practice.

Archers work on positioning, aiming, consistency, release, and concentration as they develop their technique and work toward tighter groups and higher scores.

Every arrow tells you something.

Then you get another chance.

There's More Than One Way to Take the Shot.

Adaptive archery can accommodate athletes with a wide range of physical abilities.

Athletes may participate standing, seated, or with specialized equipment based on what works best for them.

And no, you do not need previous archery experience to begin.

Bridge2Sports can help new archers learn the fundamentals and explore the equipment and adaptations that make participation possible.

how Archery adapts.

Archery does not require every athlete to take the same approach.

Depending on the individual, adaptations may include:

  • Reduced-tension bows

  • Grip assistance

  • Release aids

  • Bow stands

  • Seated shooting positions

  • Other equipment or positioning modifications

Let’s find the setup that gets you behind the bow.
