Quiet, please. Specifically designed for blind athletes Goalball is a fast-paced and powerful sport. Teams of three, wearing complete blackout goggles, compete against one another trying to score a goal by throwing a ball past the opponents’ goal line. The ball is embedded with bells so athletes listen and sense where it is coming from and try to block it with their body. The Bridge II Sports Goalball team practices at the Governor Morehead School in Raleigh. This program is open to any athletes with visual impairments.
Beginning April 2018
Practices are essential for home and travel tournaments against other teams from around the Southeast
