Staying active has a positive effect on our physical and mental health.
For these reasons Bridge II Sports put together the Veteran Fitness Challenge for you!
In September 2020 Bridge II Sports began setting up at least 1 challenge per month to encourage participants to stay active and connected. Now there are nearly 200 Veterans with disabilities from across the country participating!
-Challenges are hosted on the MOVESPRING platform where you can track your progress and communicate with your team.
-Participants will participate in team and individual challenges with other veterans.
-Challenges can be based on steps, active minutes, sleep, distance….all with the goal of keeping you active and healthy.
-Prizes and surprises will be awarded– in case you need additional motivation!
This has been a lot of fun and a great way to stay strong and UNITED IN MOVEMENT with our VGSE and Veteran community, particularly those in the rural community.
PLEASE NOTE: With MOVESPRING, you can use a variety of trackers (Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch, etc.) to participate in the Veteran Fitness Challenge program. If you have questions about using your tracker, please email us at VFC@bridge2sports.org.

Q: Who is eligible?
A: Any Veteran living with a disability is eligible to participate in this program, so help us spread the word by getting the information out to your fellow veterans!!!
Q: Can I apply at any time?
A: Absolutely! Even though we are officially starting in September 2020 we will be accepting participants all year long. (Unfortunately we may not be able to provide you with a Fitbit® for the challenges)

Q: I don’t have a Fitbit®, can I participate?
Currently we a limited quantity of complimentary Fitbits available for new participants signing up for the Veteran Fitness Challenge program.
Q: What if I already have a Fitbit®?
A: No problem, if you already have a device and want to participate just fill out the application and we will add you to our Bridge II Sports Dashboard so you can get the notifications about our challenges and participate.
Q: Can I do the challenges with a device other than a Fitbit®?
A: Yes, you will still need to fill out our application. You can use the Mobile Fitbit® App to manually log your activity.
We will also send you instructions on how you can participate.
Q: Will I need other equipment to participate?
A: You will need a computer and/or a smartphone to set up your account, and to synchronize your device.
Q: Do I have to do every monthly challenge?
A: No, you will need to participate in 1 each quarter and a minimum of 6 over the 12 months.
We would love to see you participate in all of them if you can.
Q: Can I pick my own team?
A: Yes, you will be able to pick which team you want to join initially….we may ask you to make some adjustments just to keep the team numbers more even. Later on in the year we will visit the idea of changing the teams just to make it more fun.
