
Many of us have been feeling the effects of the COVID-19 restrictions on our physical and mental health. It’s been difficult missing the things that get us out and the interactions we have with others while we’re there.
For those reasons Bridge II Sports has put together a Veteran Fitness Challenge for you!
Starting September 2020 Bridge II Sports will set-up at least 1 challenge per month over a 12 month period to encourage participants to stay active and connected.
-Participants will be able to sign up on a team with fellow veterans and volunteers from all over the country.
-These challenges can be based on steps, active minutes, sleep, distance….etc.
-The challenges will be hosted on the Fitbit® platform where you can track your progress and communicate with your team.
-Prizes and surprises will be awarded– in case you need additional motivation!
This is going to be a lot of fun and a great way to stay strong with your VGSE and Veteran community during this difficult time.

Q: Who is eligible?
A: Any Veteran living with a disability is eligible to participate in this program, so help us spread the word by getting the information out to your fellow veterans!!!
Q: Can I apply at any time?
A: Absolutely! Even though we are officially starting in September 2020 we will be accepting participants all year long. (Unfortunately we may not be able to provide you with a Fitbit® for the challenges)
Q: How do I apply?

Q: I don’t have a Fitbit®, can I participate?
A: Yes you can! We will provide one free device per person while supplies last. (Please don’t request a Fitbit if you already have one)
Q: What if I already have a Fitbit®?
A: No problem, if you already have a device and want to participate just fill out the application and we will add you to our Bridge II Sports Dashboard so you can get the notifications about our challenges and participate.
Q: Can I do the challenges with a device other than a Fitbit®?
A: Yes, you will still need to fill out our application. You can use the Mobile Fitbit® App to manually log your activity.
We will also send you instructions on how you can participate.
Q: Will I need other equipment to participate?
A: You will need a computer and/or a smartphone to set up your account, and to synchronize your device.
Q: Do I have to do every monthly challenge?
A: No, you will need to participate in 1 each quarter and a minimum of 6 over the 12 months.
We would love to see you participate in all of them if you can.
Q: Can I pick my own team?
A: Yes, you will be able to pick which team you want to join initially….we may ask you to make some adjustments just to keep the team numbers more even. Later on in the year we will visit the idea of changing the teams just to make it more fun.
