The newly re-named Bridge II Sports youth wheelchair basketball team, the PRIDE, have unveiled their new logo.
Formerly the Junior Thunder, the team was ready for a new name to reflect a new season in Bridge II Sports wheelchair basketball.
“We wanted to bring unity to the team and felt that a lion pride was the perfect way to represent that. Basketball is a way to build friendships, life skills and empowerment.” said Akeem Hassell one of the coaches and the mind behind the PRIDE name.
“PRIDE is not only a name but also an acronym spelling out the principles Bridge II Sports works to instill in the lives of these young men and women on and off the court- Perserverance, Resilence, Integrity, Determination and Empowerment”
