With a heavy heart we wanted to share that a beloved member of our Valor Games SE/Bridge II Sports family passed away on Sunday April 28.

If you have ever been to Valor Games SE then you know JR Stone– he has been there from the beginning on the archery range sharing his passion with Vets and selflessly assisting everyone with his patience and expertise to find their own way to shoot.

JR served in the Air Force and was a 27-year Veteran of the Durham Police.

JR coached archery at Bridge II Sports all year round and was excited to be back on the range at VGSE this year along side Mickey and his friends from the Guilford Bowhunters.

JR was laid to rest on May 2 in a funeral service in Durham.  We will miss him dearly as a coach and friend. He was an incredible man that lived an incredible life giving selflessly to everyone around him.

Take a moment when you get on the line to shoot at Valor Games SE to think of JR and all that he did to help make that moment possible.
