Nothing like chili and Bridge II Sports to bring people together!
We had a full house of athletes, volunteers, board members, supporters and family out for a wonderful evening catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and celebrating the amazing year that was at Bridge II Sports for our ‘Chili’n Out’ End-of-Year Celebration on Friday November 22.
Several of our outstanding volunteers were honored including our out-going Board President Shannon Collins that has given so much to BIIS in years of selfless service to the organization.
No one went home hungry or empty handed with 5 different types of chili, nuggets donated by Chick-fil-a Hillsborough Road, and tons of desserts and sides brought ‘pot-luck’ style…plus everyone took home their official orange or blue BIIS chili mug as a thank you.
Speaking of thank you…a big one goes out to NC State volunteers and the ‘Care Crew’ from AmeriHealth Caritas that helped set up for the celebration and took on the ‘stinky’ job to ‘band and bag’ shoes for the shoe drive.
We are so proud and grateful of our strong BIIS community and excited to see what we can all do together in the new year!
