Wes, Akeem, and Daisy were back on campus April 26 & 27 doing what they love to do – teaching about disability through adapted sports!

With COVID protocols in place, they were on-site at CW Stanford Middle School both Monday and Tuesday introducing a total of over 90 students and staff in small groups to disability etiquette, various adapted equipment and sports including handcyles, racing chairs, boccia, and goalball.

Each group also had the opportunity to play wheelchair basketball for 30 minutes during their session. Staff who saw what was going on on Monday wore their ‘play clothes’ on Tuesday so they could get in on the action too, including the school principal!

On Wednesday the crew was back at it providing VIRTUAL sessions for 86 K-5th graders at Pathways Elementary.  Students watched videos of Bridge II Sports athletes in action, heard stories from our staff and had time for questions at the end.
